The district’s total retail sales of consumer goods reached 164.21 billion yuan, ranking second in Shenzhen for three consecutive years; newly opened commercial space exceeded 580,000 square meters, ranking first in the city; and the total commercial area exceeded 3.9 million square meters, ranking first in Shenzhen. The Qianhai-Baozhong business district was selected as one of the world’s top 30 potential business districts and was rated as a provincial-level demonstration business district. Benchmark commercial complexes such as Joy City, Sam’s Club, and Huaide MixC have opened successively, attracting over 110 first-time stores of various brands.
Bao’an District’s total foreign trade import and export volume exceeded 610 billion yuan, ranking third in Shenzhen; the number of AEO advanced certified enterprises reached 123, ranking first in the city; the number of enterprises registered with customs reached approximately 53,000, ranking first in the city; and the number of enterprises with actual import and export business reached 16,000, ranking first in the city. It has successively won numerous national honors, including the National Import Trade Promotion and Innovation Demonstration Zone and the National Intellectual Property Strong County Construction Demonstration Park, and is the most dynamic and promising core growth pole of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
